An emeritus professor of psychology and former pro-vice-chancellor for learning and teaching at City, University of London, I combine my knowledge and experience of academic, professional and business development within my current freelance roles. I have particular strengths in `start up’ activity and large-scale change, leading the creation of new professional, academic and organisational programmes and in professional accreditation leadership. A chartered psychologist and registered member of the Health Care Professions Council I have specialisms in health and wellbeing, coaching, counselling and psychotherapy. I am a Meyler Campbell Business Coach Graduate and currently director of their Mastered Programme, former chair of the British Psychological Society’s Special Group in Coaching Psychology and also the 2015 International Congress in Coaching Psychology.

 

 I work collaboratively with many people and organisations including setting up learning groups for advanced practice and creating linked writing teams with a focus on reviews and reports, books, chapters, articles and conference presentations.

The above represents only a part of my life. Grandmother to 5 beautiful grandchildren and the owner of two very energetic labradoodle dogs I find that the various parts of my life have more in common than might at first appear the case. With a long-term interest and engagement in personal and professional learning, experiences in one area of my life feed into and enhance my understanding of others. For example, I never cease to be amazed by how being with and open to learning from my grandchildren feeds into my professional interest and understanding of learning and change – thereby helping me support and be a catalyst for others as they seek to make changes in their lives.
